When can I eat after tooth extraction?

Tooth extractions may be necessary to preserve your oral health and wellness. At Kennedy Dental, we offer pain-free tooth extractions in Bellevue

Our dentists are skilled and experienced in gentle, efficient tooth extractions. Whether you have an infected or impacted wisdom tooth, you can count on our team to help you.

After tooth extraction, we recommend eating soft foods, such as:

  • Oatmeal
  • Yogurt
  • Applesauce
  • Jell-O
  • Mashed bananas
  • Mashed potatoes (room temperature only)

Our dentists in Bellevue also ask patients to avoid using a straw, smoking, or consuming hot or sharp foods that can irritate the extraction site until fully healed. After your procedure, your dentist will provide you with a detailed list of instructions for recovery, including what to eat and what to avoid.
